SUCCESS STORIES
Women empowerment & Dairy cooperative movement in villages
REIL's Building As per 'year 2001 census' population of India stands to be 1027 million where 496 million are female inhabitants, i.e. 48% of total population consist of women. For sustainable economic and social development to take place in any country, it is necessary that women participate in the necessary economic and social process.
REIL provided Automated EMT by making it handle free operation to improve their independent participation in contribution of white revolution.
Women participation in Dairy Cooperatives helped rural women in becoming self confidant, self reliant and can run Dairy Cooperatives more efficiently. Presently, Women Dairy Cooperative Societies are functioning. Women Dairy Cooperative Societies have been organized under STEP (Support to Training & Employment Programme for Women).
SARAS - A prominent brand…..
In Rajasthan before 1994 the most of the co-operative societies were doing their operation in collecting the milk through the basic gerber method. In 1994 a pilot project for automation of all major milk cooperatives were taken where transparent systems like EMT and AMCS was deployed. Due to this automation process, the milk production was increased many fold beyond the expectation of the State Government This increased production brought the SARAS brand in limelight – the brand of Rajasthan.
Solar EMT - a success story of dairing in Bihar
REIL's Building Due to huge gap in Demand and supply of Electricity, the automation process of cooperatives in Bihar was a challenge and in-spite of effort in deployment of EMT the milk production was not increased up to the expectation. REIL worked out a solution for use of EMT and introduced solar system to run the EMT.
This effort received overwhelming response and more than 1500 Solar EMT(s) are deployed.
No caste issues
